I read this turn of phrase and it has gotten stuck in my head and repeats itself over and over again. It is something I have always wondered about and so here I am writing about my experiences around this subject.
Have you ever met someone who is just an ugly person? They are abrasive or verbally abusive and yet they hold jobs or positions of power, they get the money and never seem to get reprimanded. Deep down, they just have an ugly soul and never a kind word. But there they are, moving forward through life, untouched by any negativity or any reprimands. But, then you turn around and meet the nicest person, kind and giving. But, they have a hard time getting respect or acknowledgment.
I once met a sales person, they were all friendly and happy and everyone loved them. Did it matter that they just ripped you off of some money? No, they are cheerful and my friend. Did it matter that they just made a deal where they lied and financially hurt someone who didn’t have the money to be ripped off like that? Nope, what happens to that person doesn’t affect me and they are really quite charming. But, but… They just did… sigh, I guess it really doesn’t matter because they make you laugh…
I know this girl, she is manipulative to those around them, she plays the victim card and she has a very abrasive personality. But, she gets all the attention and what she wants because if she doesn’t she will be emotionally hurt and cause a scene and play the victim. Must take care of the victim. Does it matter that she is a user of people and a black hole of emotions? No, she will always get what she wants where as the caretakers of the world are just taken advantage of…
Sometimes, I wonder… Why are we as a society more likely to reward the bad people than the good people in the world?
