You go to bed and you slumber and when you wake up you are in another world.
But today, I didn’t even get the wonder of slumber… Change occured while I was awake or maybe it was while I was sleeping while I was awake and everything is different.
My multimillion dollar, soon to be award winning release was a success. The deployment took over 15 people and 7 hours to implement last night, but it went like clock work, however somewhere along the way I forgot that I was supposed to sleep.
This afternoon, I close my eyes for an hour and I wake up into a world of change. The Racing world that I love and has been my life for over 12 years is no more. It is now merged with the IRL. Friends have been let go from the offices and I sit and I wonder…
Yes, I know, I am in a prime position, IF I want to go racing and if it isn’t this year, then I would most likely be called to the new team next year….
But still the world is different and I deserve a moment to ponder, to perplex and to shed some tears.
For as racing is ending, my long term contact with Kinko’s will also be ending. 5 years, and a whole DANG load of money later. The 11 month contract rule will be enforced and in May I shall move on.
